How to Awaken the Magic of a Place and Open Yourself to Communication with Etheric Beings
People often ask me: how can you sense etheric beings? How do you establish contact with the elemental world—fairies, gnomes? How do you draw the attention of trees, stones, water beings?
Let me briefly share a few thoughts with you, which also serve as an introduction to the geomantic workshops I am preparing.
The main idea, the underlying premise, is that everything is alive. There is no division between living and non-living nature. Between sentient beings and solid matter. In truth, there is no real division at all—there are only different forms of life. Different forms of energy, different manifestations of consciousness, which you may call Source, God, or Divinity. Everything around us—and everything we are—is vibration, movement at different frequencies. Lower frequencies determine dense energy, the physical world; higher frequencies form more subtle, etheric realms. With our five senses, we perceive only a small spectrum of reality. Consider, for example, how many colors and frequencies of light are invisible to us, or how little we can actually hear. Does that mean they do not exist? Of course they do. They form different levels of existence, different spaces of Earth and the cosmos, where consciousness flows through various forms and beings.
Let us open our inner ears, our inner eyes. Let us open the third eye and all the senses available to us. Let us attune ourselves to the frequency of a place, to the vibrations that surround us.
Our first perceptions are emotional. We then try to understand these impressions—usually first through images and symbols, and later translating them into words. We are beings with both right and left hemispheres of the brain. But first, we must open our heart space. In this way, we can attune ourselves to the invisible frequencies around us. The heart—the heart space—is like a portal, a doorway into other worlds. That is why it is important to feel our heart and to see, listen, and touch through it.
We perceive the world around us through ourselves—through our body, our psyche, our soul—which together function as an instrument. We can imagine how we respond to the surrounding vibrations with this beautiful instrument, as if something were playing upon our strings. What do we see? What do we hear? Perhaps even what do we smell?
Let us surrender to our feelings and observe them. What do we see? The symbols and images we perceive are often part of the collective unconscious, buried deep within the human psyche. They also enable us to feel and see similar vibrations in similar ways. Thus, we may perceive the primal forces of creation—the powerful force of life—as dragons or giants. Ancient, wise trees embodying cosmic wisdom may appear to us as ents. The lightness and heartfelt presence of meadow flowers may reveal themselves as elemental beings. Because we feel through our heart, the images are ours—unique, telling a story about ourselves—yet at the same time about all of creation, since we are all part of one whole.
A human being is a form of consciousness functioning as a system. We can feel our boundaries and act autonomously; we have individuality, our own experiences and memories, and we are self-sufficient to a certain degree. That is why our experiences are unique. We are a complete whole, yet at the same time we are connected to others, sharing currents of consciousness. Therefore, our experiences can also speak about others.
The same is true of space. Certain places take the form of a system—a holon—a whole that has its own vital parts, its own organs. Yet a holon can also be part of a greater whole, like a cell, for example. And when we connect with a place, we experience this holon—its parts, its story, its manifestations in the form of various beings.
A place, and the beings of that place, can tell us something about ourselves—something we need to pay attention to. It may be a potential, or an unresolved issue. A place and its beings may also speak about themselves—their challenges, their potentials—which they address to us, inviting our cooperation. It is a two-way communication, a collaboration. They respond to us and to our vibration. Like attracts like. Therefore, each time we enter a place, the experience is different—because we are different, and the place is changing as well. And people are different too, so different aspects speak to each of us.
Every experience, every perspective, is valid and precious. And when we share them, together we uncover a more complete picture.
